What is Purpose of Tres Dias?
The purpose of Tres Dias is renewal of the church through renewal of church members (ages 21 and older). It expands participants’ spiritual lives, deepens discipleship and rekindles the gifts for Christian leaders in church, home and community. We are called to share the grace that we have received with our church, develop Christian disciples (through piety, study and action), Christianize our environment and strengthen Christian communities.
What does Tres Dias mean?
The meaning is “Three Days” in Spanish. It is a three day weekend, held separately for the development of Christian leaders to bring Christians to a closer, more personal walk with the Lord Jesus Christ and encourage them to Christian leadership and Christ-like action in all environments of which its members are a part.
What Happens on the weekend?
It’s very difficult to describe a weekend and still capture the dynamics that occur. Each weekend includes talks by Lay and Clergy speakers, group discussions, sharing, jokes, laughter, singing, communion (if you wish to partake), and prayer time in both group and individual settings. Every weekend includes at least two Spiritual Directors who are available for counseling and prayer as needed.
Who is the Organization?
Birmingham Tres Dias is part of a larger international community. We follow the guidelines set by our friends at the Tres Dias headquarters. Find out more about the Tres Dias community by visiting https://www.tresdias.org/
